First time at BrainShare? Take time to read through this page and find out how you can get the most out of your time at BrainShare 2010.

What happens at BrainShare?

  1. For a quick check on what's happening each day, be sure to look at the Week at a Glance page.
  2. Breakfasts and lunches will be provided beginning Monday morning, and will be provided throughout the conference.
  3. Check out the BrainShare Web site for up-to-the-minute information and changes; you can access the site via wireless connection on your own machine at www.novell.com/brainshare. Also, be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to be the first to get in on exciting promotions, prizes and updates.
  4. Make sure to check out IT Central and the Installation & Migration Depot from Monday to Thursday.

What should you be doing right now?

  1. Obvious first step: Register Now!
  2. You'll get a confirmation e-mail after you register; make sure you hang onto your username and password. This will be important when you register for sessions. Plus it will ensure a smooth check-in process on Sunday, March 21st.
  3. Reserve your spot at one of the BrainShare-preferred hotels where you'll get a discounted rate and free transportation to and from the Salt Palace Convention Center.-->
  4. Book your flight. Try to arrive no later than Sunday March 21, and stay through Friday so you can take full advantage of the conference. Only those who stay through the end of the conference (through the keynote) will be present to win conference prizes.
  5. Sign up for breakout sessions as soon as session registration is open (in February). The most popular sessions fill up quickly - some the first day of session registration. Go through the online session catalog; check out our easy-to-understand graphic for help interpreting what the session numbers mean. Identify the courses you're interested in, register for those sessions, and create a "course schedule" you can use to make the most of your time at BrainShare.
  6. Read the postings on the BrainShare Forum. This is where experienced participants communicate about the conference - you might pick up some good ideas.
  7. Check out the frequently asked questions for detailed information on the conference.
  8. Be sure to come back to the Web site periodically for updates on what you should do as the conference gets closer.
