Applications and data are moving to the cloud. Workforces are increasingly dispersed and mobile. These events are causing organizations to rethink how end-users connect to applications. With more computing power and storage living in the cloud and being accessed through a Web browser, the desktop can be less powerful and run any operating system. That is why Novell has partnered with Intel to create the Moblin framework, an easy-to-use, efficient, and lightweight operating system. The SUSE edition of Moblin will be shipping soon on a wide variety of netbooks.
