This error started recently.
Apparently no changed was done on the IDM 3.5.1 system (which run for more than 1 year) and SAP system.

( there was probably a change somewhere, but we are unsuccessful finding it at the moment)

Password synchronization still occurs but any attempt to match a user stops the event in the cache and all successive event are also stopped.

For the moment we disabled any add event until the problem is solved.

An incident is opened at Novell but no news for the moment.

Any help very appreciated.

Just wondering if I am missing something with a new feature of Designer 3.5

Previously in Designer 3.0 I was able to run through the total publisher or subscriber channel by doing a simulate on the Input Transform, then go through all policies including schema mapper -> Event Transform....

However with Designer 3.5 it seems that if I do a simulate on the Input Transform, but it doesn't go onto the schema mapper after it's finished processing all the policies in Input Transform.

Is there a reason why the Designer Simulate doesn't step onwards between each step?

Running GW703HP4.
If I set an expiration date on a users account, the membership in DL's expire too. That is great.
But if I re-activate the users account, will he/she automatically be a member of these DL's, or do I have to manually make him/her a member of the DL's again?

1. Enter BIOS setup, set nic mode to iSCSI, save and exit.
2. Enter into NIC opetion-rom,setting Target and Initiator correctly for SUT2.
Make sure in option-rom, SUT2 can connect to the Target Virtual Disk on SUT1.
3. Boot from DVD-ROM to install SLES11 x64 OS on SUT2, after the installation,reboot once to the configration GUI.
when configure the network, get error message--cannot write the firewall setting to "/etc/sysconfig/SuSEFirewall".
OS will inform this maybe a BUG. and cannot move on to boot into OS.

Hi Sir,
When we use Intel ICH10R Matrix RAID and try to use OS(SLES10/11) embedded driver for this Matrix RAID, we found that the driver is not workable for this RAID. The system will NOT detect the RAID well and they treat the RAID1 as two seperate HDDs instead of RAID.
Known from Intel,SLES11 SP1 will support this Matrix RAID. However, I can NOT found any official document from Novell for this issue.
Could you please help to point out if the SLES11 can support intel ICH10R matrix RAID or give the official document?
BTW,what about the support for Intel® 3420 Chipset under SLES11 or SLES10 SP3?

I am using SLES10SP1 and I have to upgrade some sofwares(ISC BIND 9 to latest version,Open SSL to latest version,firefox to latest version,JDK and JRE to latest version,GnuTLS to latest version,kernel to latest version). But I could not find any rpm packages for SLES10 for those softwares. Only I could find the source packages. But I dont know how to upgrade those from source, I tried it but it didn't work out. So kindly tell me how to upgrade those or where can I find the rpm packages for the same.
Any help would be appreciated.

After I run Online Update to OES2 SP2 and SLES10 SP3, I cannot open Password Policies and Challenge Sets in iManager, they show me messages:

Password Policies: /portal/modules/pwdpolicy/skins/default/devices/default/PolicyListTask.jsp(225,27) Attribute value c.string( "PwdPolicy.ListPolicy.Alt.SelectContainer" ) is quoted with " which must be escaped when used within the value

Challenge Sets: /portal/modules/pwdpolicy/skins/default/devices/default/PolicyListCSTask.jsp(232,27) Attribute value c.string( "PwdPolicy.ChallengeSetList.Alt.SelectContaine r" ) is quoted with " which must be escaped when used within the value

See the attached workflow. I can't seem to get the workflow to go past the first transitionOnResponse. Answering either YES or NO, even though there are states to transition to. I am new to this so I could be missing something. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a 4 CPU POWER5 box running SLES 10 SP2. For some time now, nfsd (nfsv3) has had the nasty habit of occasionally consuming nearly 100% CPU time for lengths of time. During this time, access to the nfs server is awfully slow. See below ... 8 processes, about 30-40% each.

Is there a way I can tell what it is doing?

Hi Guys,

I have an allow rule in for a couple of sites we have running internally. Rather then deploying a site wide proxy exception, I was wondering if there was a way to configure this on BM itself.

I tried an allow rule to these internal sites, but it hasn't made a difference.

Can that be done in BM or not?

We've recently become aware of backscatter and are finding ourselves blacklisted on a few sites because of it. Not pleased! But we're hoping there is an easy way to tell the GWIA to reject mail during the initial SMTP communication. Or rather instead of it being Accept now, Reject Later. we want it to be Reject Now.

I've been looking around for a solution but fail when it comes to searching Novell's support website and the forum doesn't mention a whole lot on backscatter.

Please let me know if you have an idea.

Just lately the support that is coming out of Novell is a joke!

I currently have 2 open SR’s,

The 1st one has been open for almost 2 month now and there has been no progress made what so ever. When I opened this SR I was asked to call back in 3 hours as there was no one currently available to take my call. As part of the partner net program the Technical Support Response Time is 1 hour 24/7? Not call back later.

When I finally got to talk to support I was told that ZCM was not supported when installed on a d:\ when I questioned this I was told that my issue was cosmetic and nothing to worry about. This is not the case and again I questioned this as a result my SR has been transferred to the Novell Zenworks Advantage Team. I am not sure what the Novell Zenworks Advantage Team does as they are not helping me with this SR, These guys don’t even reply to email or Voice mails.

The 2nd SR i opened at the start of this week i have one email from the support team requesting a chat season at 12:30am. I have not heard from them since. Again 24/7 ???

I am not sure what has changed Novell support used to the best around
