There’s been some reporting over the last couple of days that suggests Microsoft gives away for free the SUSE Linux Enterprise certificates they deliver under the Novell-Microsoft agreement. That’s not the case. The terms of the deals are confidential, but, in addition to the migration investment, the companies are paying for the certificates, which come with full Novell support.¬† As is common for early adopters, some customers have received discounts as an investment from Microsoft and Novell, but customers are paying for the services delivered through the SUSE LInux Enterprise certificates.
