Can’t get to Vancouver for the Winter Games? The Moonlight Team just made it that much easier to watch all the competition right from your desktop, anytime of day, in any part of the world. Starting today, Preview 2 of Moonlight 3.0 will be available to stream the Olympic broadcast live with features including Tivo-like “jump back” and even slow motion (which will come in handy when watching the aerial snowboarding and ski events!)

More details can be found on Miguel de Icaza’s blog. And if you are able to catch some of the events on Moonlight we’d love to hear how your experience was! Send comments and track back here.

Wow, moonlight has definitely come a long way. Just tested it out and everything worked great. The controls were smooth. The video was a little grainy and sometimes choppy but it could probably be traced back to my dated video card.

Also, just wanted to mention that right now the mono site has Preview 3 available, not Preview 2.

Now, they just need to work on Netflix :)
