I am very excited to announce the release of Novell Filr. Novell Filr is a file-sharing solution that gives users access to their home folders, shared network folders and personal files from anywhere via desktops, laptops or mobile devices.

We know that you’re struggling with cloud-based file access solutions like Dropbox that put your data in insecure third-party storage. Novell Filr leverages our heritage as a leader in file and print solutions to provide mobile file access and sharing that keeps your data on-premise and IT in control. By leveraging your existing, on-premise file systems and associated access right, Novell Filr delivers enterprise-class security that the competition simply can’t.

Together with Novell ZENworks Mobile Management and Novell iPrint, it is also an important part of our mobility solution. Very few of our competitors offer such a comprehensive set of mobile capabilities-and fewer still with an enterprise focus.

Novell Filr is a standalone product that works with directory services such as Microsoft Active Directory and NetIQ eDirectory, meaning you don’t need a Novell infrastructure to enjoy all the benefits of Novell Filr. Please take a minute to learn more at Novell Filr. Then download an evaluation and see how it can help your organization offer easy, mobile file access and sharing that keeps IT in control.

We look forward to showing you what Filr can do.

How is Filr different from the open source iFolder or OwnCloud? Is Filr worth buying?
