The Resource Library has added a new set of videos about Workflows. Have you ever experienced the frustration getting stuck in a project and not knowing the next steps or how to control how something moves along in the correct process? Workflows are designed to help you define your projects from beginning to end by designating a start and finish and controlling how the business activity moves through the process.

Technology is more and more becoming part of the way we learn and teach. Vibe can play an important role in providing students, teachers, and even parents a way of communicating and collaborating in a way that is secure, organized, and intuitive.

In addition to the project management bundle we’ve added another set of workspaces to our Vibe templates. Use this Education Bundle to give your school or school district a head start. Novell announces a new Hot Patch for GroupWise 8.0.2. This Hot Patch is the latest update for our flag ship product.

SimplyBox provides Vibe OnPrem users with a powerful "business execution hub," by leveraging their fragment products with Vibe's landing page layout. Enterprise users interact with multiple applications in order to get their jobs done. As they interact with these applications they often have the need to engage or collaborate with their peers. SimplyBox allows the user to add a layer of collaboration directly on top of the applications they use. This means if a user needs to get work done in ERP and Vibe they won't have to leave Vibe because the SimplyBox fragment will allow them to get things done inside Vibe.

I had the opportunity to talk with Dave Wilkes, Vice President Engineering for Novell.

Gert: Can you tell us a bit about your background?
Dave: I have been with Novell since 1991 working in various engineering roles focused on Novell global brands such as NetWare, Open Enterprise Server, GroupWise and ZENworks.

Novell Vibe OnPrem is not only a great collaboration tool for any organization, it is also a great tool for Novell. Since the release of version 3.0 in December 2010, internal usage of Novell Vibe OnPrem has increased dramatically inside Novell. Here is the first of several success videos showing how Novell Vibe is being used by several different teams and individuals in many different roles across Novell.
