Novell ZENworks Virtual Application Knowledgebase

Welcome to the Novell ZENworks Virtual Application Knowledgebase.

The purpose of this forum is to share tips, tricks, knowledge, and results of virtualizing applications with ZENworks Application Virtualization. It functions more like a database of successfully virtualized apps and how they were configured than a blog of tips.

This is not a repository of the virtual apps themselves or of the files associated with the configurations. For application licensing reasons we can't share those as a community. Take a look at our live streaming site if you're looking for virtual applications available for download.

Nor is this a list of applications that have been certified to be virtualizable with ZAV. For that, please see the Application Compatibility List of the ZAV Product Page.

As a Novell community member you may search the knowlegebase for community-shared details of how a member configured an application to virtualize it on a particular platform. You may also share your results of configuring specific virtual applications.

To share:

  1. Check the Application Compatibility List to see if your application is already certified. If it is, add it to the knowledgebase only if you have valuable tips about virtualizing it successfully. If it's not, please add it to the knowledgebase.
  2. Open the Virtualized Application Details form.
  3. Fill in the fields. The Detail/Comments field will be especially helpful.
  4. If you can, attach your .XAPPL file under File Attachments.
  5. Your entry will be reviewed by the moderator(s) and published promptly.
