Novell has just put some big changes for Novell Open Workgroup Suite (NOWS) into effect. The popular buying program that so many customers around the world use to simplify their purchasing of the Novell products they rely on most now includes more products.
If you are a current customer of NOWS, now you are automatically entitled to Novell Vibe OnPrem and Novell ZENworks Endpoint Security Management (ZESM) in addition to the products you already own. Think about it… two new products for no additional license or maintenance cost! It’s like Christmas came early this year…
Haven't experienced the joy of NOWS, but you do own Open Enterprise Server, GroupWise and ZENworks, you can transition into NOWS at your next renewal. It’s easy and you’ll love the benefits.
If you don’t already know, NOWS is a bundle of our most-deployed products, as well as some high-value additional products that make sense for Novell infrastructures. NOWS includes Novell Open Enterprise Server, Novell GroupWise, Novell ZENworks Configuration Management, Novell ZENworks Linux Management, SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, LibreOffice, and now it also includes Vibe OnPrem and ZENworks Endpoint Security Management. NOWS customers only have to deal with one line-item during the renewal process, and license management is easier, too.
For those of you kind enough to still be reading, I’ll give you the small print: 1) The license list price per user goes from $150 to $165. The price of maintenance does not change. 2) We’re consolidating versions of NOWS, but we’re automatically rolling current customers into this enhanced program. 3) NOWS Small Business Edition is not included in this change. That program stays the same. 4) NOWS with Vibe OnPrem for Alternate Messaging Platforms (possibly the worst name ever) also has some special circumstances: you don’t automatically transition; you can buy one more year of maintenance and by next year, we’re sure you will want to upgrade to the new NOWS.
You can read more about the latest NOWS news at www.novell.com/nows and in the FAQ you can find there. We think you’ll be very pleased with the new products included in NOWS. Definitely let us know what you think.
