Education Bundle

Technology is more and more becoming part of the way we learn and teach. Vibe can play an important role in providing students, teachers, and even parents a way of communicating and collaborating in a way that is secure, organized, and intuitive.

In addition to the project management bundle we’ve added another set of workspaces to our Vibe templates. Use this Education Bundle to give your school or school district a head start. Included in these template you will find three workspaces, each with its unique set of tools to address the needs of students, parents, and teachers alike.

Included in the Education Bundle:

Classroom Template: A virtual classroom for students.

Student Collaboration: A platform for student to drive their education and help others drive their own.

Teacher Portal: An intraweb for teachers and school staff.

Download this bundle or one of the workspaces individually to learn how Vibe can help you enhance organization and communication in education.

Classroom Template

Part of the Education Bundle of Vibe templates, this workspace contains many of the folders you need to manage an online collaborative learning experience that will augment the work and learning students do in the classroom. The template provided is a starting point for any teacher or Vibe administrator in a school or school district. This workspace is not meant as a demo. Our intention is that admins download and import this template and immediately begin customizing it for their schools classrooms.

You’ll find instruction in this template on how to edit the branding of the classroom workspace, provide some classroom news, keep your calendar current, update and add assignments, collect homework, and issue quizzes all using Vibe. You’ll also find a photo album and a folder for classroom discussions between the students and other students or the teacher.

Use this classroom template to provide parents, teachers, and students with an environment open to collaboration and education.

NOTE: You will need the help of your Vibe system administrator to import these workspace templates into your Vibe system.

Student Collaboration

The student collaboration workspace is a part of the education bundle. Group and teamwork is an important part of learning in schools. Teachers today can be sure that students are understanding technology better than ever. We’ve created this student collaboration workspace to combine the two.

With the help of your Vibe administrator you can import this template into your Vibe system and provide students a platform for team work, discussion, scheduling and more. The template includes just three pieces.

Student Discussion

A simple discussion forum can be a catalyst for learning among today’s technologically savvy students. This Vibe discussion folder is intended for students to generate conversations and threaded forms in order to collaborate on projects, homework, study groups, or anything their creative minds can come up with.

Concerned about the content? Use any of the simple approval or publishing workflows to give the teacher the final say before posting new topics or comments.

Study Sessions

Schedules are important to keep for students and teachers. Students sharing this workspace can use this calendar to post study session times and locations. Struggling students can reference this calendar to find help on assignments. Notifications to meeting attendees can be sent to keep everyone informed and up to date on events.

Landing Page (Portal)

Information is a powerful resource for students. The student collaboration workspace landing page acts as a dashboard for the study sessions calendar and the student discussions. In the top right of the landing page you’ll find an editable list of links to important resources, In the bottom left you’ll find an embedded webpage. Use these tools to deliver even more utility to your students.

These three pieces work together to provide students a productive platform for collaboration and teamwork.

Teacher Portal

The Teacher Portal is an important part of the education bundle. The teacher portal is a dashboard that can also act as an intranet for teachers. This portal page includes a collaborative lesson plan resource, wikis for HR and Employee policies and a calendar accessory that acts as a mashup of the Recess Calendar and the Teacher Calendar.

This calendar accessory is a good way to combine two inherently separate calendars. One calendar acts as a scheduler for recess responsibilities and assignments, while the other calendar provides teachers with important dates and events they need to remember.

Use the Teacher Portal to provide teachers a safe and secure way of sharing and collaborating between classes and disciplines.
