Law #8 of the 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing is called the law of duality. This means each market finally results in two players, a #1 and a #2 but no number three.
The example of the rental car industry in airports is a good example.

#3 ? Could be anybody
GroupWise trails Exchange and Notes. It is the third horse in a two horse race. So what is the product to do.
The answer is to join a different race.
