Faronics Deep Freeze Snap-In for Novell ConsoleOne provides IT personnel with the option to manage their Deep Freeze deployment through a centralized tool that thousands of network administrators are already familiar with.

Deep Freeze tasks can be created and executed immediately or scheduled for a future date.

Each workstation featuring Deep Freeze must have the Snap-in Workstation Agent installed manually or deployed via ConsoleOne. The Snap-in Scheduler can be installed and run on any of the three following three systems: Windows, NetWare and Linux SLED.

The Deep Freeze Snap-in for Novell ConsoleOne supports the typical deployment scenario for Novell users. The Deep Freeze Snap-in for Novell ConsoleOne can be installed and run with ConsoleOne which is installed on the NetWare server. It can also be deployed to a Windows system with ConsoleOne installed.

It is recommended that the components of the Deep Freeze Snap-in for Novell ConsoleOne be installed in following order:

  1. ConsoleOne Snap-in
  2. Snap-in Workstation Agent
  3. Snap-in Scheduler

Error when installing Deep Freeze Linux on SLED 10 SP2

Dear sir, I got this error when installing Deep Freeze linux on EXT3 file system of Linux Suse Enterprise Desktop 10 SP2.

dhcppc1:/projects # rpm -ivh dfl-1.20.9080.0003-1_sled.i586.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]

Installation of Deep Freeze Linux onto kernel 2.6.16.60-0.54.5-smp is NOT supported.

error: %pre(dfl-1.20.9080.0003-1_sled.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping dfl-1.20.9080.0003-1_sled

Does anyone know how to solve this problem ?
