HowTo: Execute Workflow Activities at a Specified Date in User Application

Sometimes you may want to start a workflow, but delay specific parts of the workflow until a specified date or time has come: A new user might need to be created at a certain date, a workflow action should be performed at midnight, an object needs to be created at one time and be deleted some time later.

While all of these actions could be performed by IDM drivers, it may often be more flexible, easier and a matter of minutes to add such delays in the workflow itself.

Grant Group Override Ability to See Hidden Photos Within the User Application

In the User Application, there is the ability to show and hide certain attributes from the rest of the users when performing Directory Searches or an Organization Chart lookup. However, once the attribute is marked as hidden it can not be viewed by anyone within the User Application. How can one override this default behavior within the User Application?

Using jQuery in Identity Manager Roles Based Provisioning Module Workflow Forms

For increased styling, layout, and functionality flexibility, jQuery can be employed to greatly enhance your workflow request and approval forms. Two examples are outlined in this document. A Simple Example shows and hides blocks of fields using CSS and injects labels to the right of some fields. An Advanced Example creates tabs, places controls / fields on the tabs, and inserts a Google Map for obtaining latitude and longitude coordinates.

Adding a "Forgot My Password" link to the Novell Access Manager login page

Are you using Novell Access Manager so that your users can access internal Web-based resources with a single login? Does anyone occasionally forget their password and call the help desk to have it reset? I have to admit I have forgotten my password, but I didn't have to call my help desk. I was able to reset it myself through my web browser with a link on my NAM login page. How would you like to add the same feature to your Novell Access Manager implementation? You can do it with Novell software that you probably already own. If so, this article is for you.
