Demo Synopsis

Novell Access Manager 3.1 provides built-in support for WS-Federation allowing non-Windows directory users single sign-on access to Microsoft web-based products. Specifically, Access Manager transforms non-Windows identities into a set of claims that are passed up to SharePoint via Active Directory Federation Services providing access to secure resources managed in one realm using identities managed in another realm.

In this implementation Access Manager has been configured to federate user identities and their corresponding roles (reader, contributor, or owner) to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. User federation has been configured to work in the opposite direction as well.
