schema epochsearch for term

An instance in time that is arbitrarily selected as a point of reference for the Novell Directory Services (NDS) database. When a schema epoch is declared, the master replica of the [Root] partition is contacted and illegal time stamps on the schema record are repaired. Then a new epoch for the schema is declared on that server. All other servers receive a new copy of the schema, which includes the repaired time stamps.
