Service Advertising Protocolsearch for term

A protocol used by NetWare Loadable Modules (NLMs) to inform clients of a server's presence. Servers advertise their services, by both name and type, with Service Advertising Protocol (SAP), allowing routers to create and maintain a database of current internetwork server information. This information goes to all nodes on an IPX network.
