At Enterprise 2.0 in Santa Clara on November 9, we'll announce our next-generation social collaboration platform, Novell Vibe. As the first enterprise-class team collaboration platform that's available both in the cloud and on-premise, Novell Vibe brings together the products formerly known as Novell Teaming and Novell Pulse to help organizations drive better and faster business results. Moving forward, Novell Teaming will become Novell Vibe OnPrem, and Novell Pulse will become Novell Vibe Cloud. Open betas for both offerings will be available beginning on November 9.

WHEN WILL THE PRODUCTS BE AVAILABLE?

Novell Vibe OnPrem 3 (formerly Novell Teaming 3) will be available in late 2010. Novell Vibe Cloud will be available in the first half of 2011. Open betas for both Novell Vibe deployment options are available beginning on November 9. Please encourage the customers you work with to try out either version (or both) and see what Novell Vibe can do for them!

HOW DO THE TWO NOVELL VIBE OFFERINGS DIFFER?

Both versions of Novell Vibe offer next-generation capabilities such as real-time social messaging and online document co-editing along with file management, groups, profiles, workflow, and security and management controls. And while the functionality of the two versions will blend together even more closely over time, there are several distinguishing features in each version today.

Novell Vibe OnPrem Highlights:

Novell Vibe Cloud Highlights:
