Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

"I am looking for a simple way to plan annual dates in GroupWise, like birthdays, etc. Any ideas on how to do that?"

And here's a suggestion from Dave Parkes ...

Solution

1. Create a posted appointment by going to Actions > AutoDate.

2. Click the Example tab.

3. Select the month and change from day of the week to days of the month.

4. Select the date.

5. Highlight all the days of the week, as the birthday can be on any day.

6. Set the number of occurrences for the event.

7. Click OK.

Note: In Bonsai (the next release of GroupWise), there will be a 'Birthdays' feature in the Contact properties that will automatically generate a calendar item on a yearly basis.
