Autoload TSANDS on OES for Linux Server

Some backup applications do not use TSA to back up eDirectory, so OES for Linux does not load tsands by default. In order to get your OES server to load tsands each time it boots up you can do the following.

cd to /etc/opt/novell/sms/

open smdrd.conf.

Under the line in the file that reads, "autoload tsafs," add the line "autoload tsands".

Save and close smdrd.conf.

Now when you reboot your OES for Linux server, tsands will be loaded automatically.

Submitted by anonymous (no verificado) on 27 November 2008 - 6:52am.

Hello,
We have NetWare 6.5 and we do backup of the NSS volumes and eDirectory with Netbakup 6.5
But the problem that is presenting us when we did the laboratory in OES2.
NetBackup couldn't make backup of eDir objects of the OES (it take it as a file.)
With your solution, could it solve the problem?
Sorry for my english.

Regards.
