(View Disclaimer)

Customers looking for integrations between GroupWise and their CRM , or other line of business application should look no further than the Omni Riva Integration Platform. Omni is holding a Webinar next week to cover this in detail.

The Omni solution is a server side integration, so it doesn't matter what client your users use, Linux, Mac, Windows, WebAccess or Mobile device, they will see a seamless 2 way integration between GroupWise and their CRM - which means that they never actually have to enter the CRM interface. So if you have one of:

* Microsoft SharePoint (Active Directory not required)
* SugarCRM
* Salesforce
* Oracle CRM
* Microsoft Dynamics CRM
* SageCRM
* GoldMine
* info@hand
* SQL databases

Or even one that isn't listed you should watch this event.

Disclaimer: As with everything else at Cool Solutions, this content is definitely not supported by Novell (so don't even think of calling Support if you try something and it blows up).

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.

One Little Problem...

Submitted by FlyingGuy on 7 April 2009 - 9:40pm.

Just one...

Omni has always been WAY overpriced, so these types of integrations are ONLY for major corporate accounts.

If I read their pricing right, JUST to be able to publish a calender to the web (CCUWeb) for one of the non-profits I server it would cost:

395.00 for the 1st license
225.00 per each additional license * 140 users

So we are looking at $31,895.00 JUST to publish a web calender.

That is pretty much out of the ballpark and then some for non-profits.

And really how hard would it be to tweak GW to do this since you already have the code built in to push the calender out when a user is logged-in via web access?

We have been begging for cleaned up API's for both the client and server side for how long now? All you have to show for it server side is SOAP based on XML and nothibng new but business as usual on the client side unless you are failing to make such important announcements.

Whats Gives?

Publish GroupWise Calendars

Submitted by azanoni on 9 April 2009 - 4:08pm.

Not that I want to continue with the deviation from Alex's original post, but if the web site price list fpr CCIweb was too much, did you contact the people at Omni (us) about site licence and/or enhanced non-profit pricing?

Either way, it's a moot point. You can publish all of your calendars for FREE with GroupWise 8's new Calendar Publishing options. You can read more about this functionality at:
