After working for years with the GroupWise client on a Mac, it started to have poor performance, like extremely slow in browsing, reading and writing e-mails.
Here's a short tip for tuning the Java Environment Settings for the GroupWise client:
browse to your Applications directory,
goto GroupWise.app,
goto show Contents,
there will be a file in it called Info.plist (where you can also add startup options),
edit the file and goto
<key>VMOptions</key> <string>-Xms64m -Xmx128m</string>
change the settings from Xms64m to Xms128m and Xmx768m
After restarting the client, the performance should increase dramatically.
