Compliance Management Platform (now at v1.1) will not be officially supported with Sentinel 7.0 until the Novell team has had a chance to migrate all the reports and do full testing, but some people may want to test out the integration sooner rather than later.
If you have tried to get Compliance Management Platform 1.1 working with Sentinel 7.0, you've probably discovered that the Identity Vault Collector does not start properly, and hence Identities will not synchronize properly to Sentinel.
This is due to a directory layout change in Sentinel 7.0: the Identity Vault Collector looks for some specific files within the Sentinel 7.0 install in order to properly connect to the iSCALE ActiveMQ Message Bus, and due to the relocation of those files it cannot do so (Sentinel 7.0's directory layout has changed to be more conformant with the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard).
The fix is simple, however:
- Log in to your Sentinel server shell as root
- Run the command:
ln -s /etc/opt/novell/sentinel/config/ /var/opt/novell/sentinel/config
- Restart Sentinel
- Start your Identity Vault Collector in ESM.
That's it!
If you have any further questions, please post your questions to the Sentinel Forums.

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
