Part of eDirectory health checking is to monitor for stuck obituaries in the environment.
I've put together a Nagios check script which can be used by system administrators to monitor the oldest obituary and alert if an age threshold is hit. It also outputs performance data which can be used to graph the trends of each obituary state.
In v1.4 the following changes have been made:
Fixed bug in unprocessed obituaries performance data, thanks to Tim Stein.
With thanks to Magnus Felix for the enhancement suggestions, specific errors have been added when ndsrepair is unable to connect to eDirectory, when ndsrepair is already running and when eDirectory is in a defunct state.
