Problem
A Forum reader recently asked:
"I moved my WebAccess server to a different network and changed the IP address. I think I changed the IP in all of the right places, but now when I go to the site and try to log in, it says it can't communicate with the GroupWise webaccess agent.
I am on OES SP2, with GroupWise 7.01. I guess I could just reload WebAccess and upgrade it to 7.02 at the same time, but I don't want to do that if I can avoid it."
And here's the response from Jim Michael ...
Solution
1. Copy commgr.cfg from your webaccess agent subdirectory under the domain (e.g., \wpgate\webac70a or whatever) to sys:novell\webaccess on the web server
2. Restart Tomcat.
If the above doesn't fix it,
1. Edit sys:novell\webaccess\webacc.cfg and look for the old IP in there.
2. If it's listed anywhere, change it to the new IP.
3. If it's NOT listed but WebAccess is still not working, add the following line to the file:
Provider.GWAP.Default.address.1=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:7205
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the new IP of the webaccess agent box.
4. Save the file.
5. Restart Tomcat.
