Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

"Can someone tell me how I can disable the Document tab? We don't use GroupWise for document management."

And here's the response from Jim Michael ...

Solution

You can do it in one of two ways:

1a. Edit webacc.cfg.
1b. Change User.Access.document=true to false.
1c. Restart Tomcat.

2a. Use ConsoleOne to nagivate to your GroupWiseWebAccess object. This is usually under your GroupWise domain container, and you can only see it in normal view, not GW view.
2b. Go to Application > Settings and un-check "Access Document Management".
2c. Restart Tomcat.

Novell "prefers" you use the snap-ins (ConsoleOne) to update such settings, but in reality ALL they are doing is updating webacc.cfg, so to my knowledge they will support a direct edit of the snapins. It's all the same (if you don't make any typos ...)

Disclaimer: As with everything else at Cool Solutions, this content is definitely not supported by Novell (so don't even think of calling Support if you try something and it blows up).

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
