(View Disclaimer)

From the 19th January I'll be in the Superlab at Provo putting ZENworks Configuration Management through its paces running a scenario where a fictitious customer, with multiple sites across several countries, is migrating from various versions of Microsoft Office to Microsoft Office 2007. This customer has sites in North America, United Kingdom, France and Germany all connected with links of varying speed and quality. Infrastructure is based on Active Directory with a mixture of Windows XP and WIndows Vista clients.

The objective of the exercise is to validate the ZCM Deployment guide that we've been working on and also create a guide to distributing Office 2007.

I'll be writing a series of coolblogs during the Superlab week to share how we are getting on and share relevant experiences.

If you have any specific things that you'd like us to try, please let me know using the comment section and I'll do my best to fit them in.

Disclaimer: As with everything else at Cool Solutions, this content is definitely not supported by Novell (so don't even think of calling Support if you try something and it blows up).

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
