dialog boxsearch for term

A small temporary window which appears on the computer screen which requires you to perform an action or select an option, or that provides you with information. For example, dialog boxes ask you questions like, "Do you want to save this document?" or "Are you sure that you want to exit this program?"After the information has been provided, the user can close the box by clicking 'okay,' 'cancel,' 'yes,' or 'no.'
