Greetings and Happy New Year to all,
I hope everyone has had a safe and relaxing break.
Well another year has started, and your NUI committee has already met and started planning for another year of exciting content. Speaking of which, the February meeting (27th Feb 2008), we a very privileged to have
Nathan from Novell Consulting presenting on Sentinel
( http://www.novell.com/products/sentinel/ ).
Please RSVP for catering purposes.
Novell Cool Solutions and NUI International have joined forces to support NUI through the world. What does this mean for us, well we now have our NUI NZ within this web space.
NUI NZ can now be found here, check us out; http://www.novell.com/communities/node/2565/nui-ne...
It is our intention to continuously update this site with material that we hope is of value to you, any requests (within reason of course) can be sent through our contact address. We will use this site to provide the presentation programme for the upcoming year, however this may subject to change.
As NUI NZ was an early subscriber of the this service our Chapter qualified for some gifts, these being
2 2008 Brainshare passes
What are we doing with these, good question. Well, in appreciation to for the substantial effort and commitment of Tom Cummings gave to run NUI for the last ?? years, the Committee thought it was appropriate to present one of these passes to Tom in appreciation and dedication to the NZ NUI Chapter, many thanks and well done Tom. The other pass is available to a NUI member, see below for more information. The banner is for our events, the camera is to capture the good times at our events, so be there and get captured.
You have probably all been wondering about your subscription fees, well the good news is that they are now due. We, the committee, have taken over this from the well organised people in Auckland who ran it for all those years. The amount stays the same, so if you could all please bring a cheque when you come to the next meeting, that would be grand.
As an incentive, all fees/subscriptions received up to, and including the February meeting go into the draw for a FREE BrainShare 08 entry pass (valued at approx US$1700). Please note, this does not include airfares or accommodation.
NOVELL CONNECTIONS MAGAZINE
It has come to our attention that the Novell Connection magazines have stopped being printed, and are now only available on-line, so no longer expect these to be turning up in your letter boxes. You can subscribe here for your electronic copy though;
Thanks for your time, and we look forward to seeing you all during the year.
Your NUI Committee.
John, George, Jonathan and Michael.
