Novell Consulting Desktop Integration
This Novell Consulting Desktop Integration (NCDI) solution provides the functionality to pass NDS information to desktop applications via OLE automation. This allows popular office applications such as MS Word and Excel to leverage NDS. Administrators can realize the administrative benefits of NDS, to deliver information such as names and addresses to the users, eliminating the need for them to retype this information in every letter or spreadsheet (or other application).
The demo download includes the two sample template solutions and the prototype OLE server demonstrated at BrainShare during March 98. This provides a subset of the functionality the fully released version, which is available from Novell Consulting with a formal Desktop Integration Consultancy. It will likely include additional user requested functionality such as allowing users to inherit data from multiple containers and manage their own NDS attributes to reduce administration overhead.
