Mono 2.4
The Mono Project (http://www.mono-project.com), a Novell sponsored open source implementation of Microsoft's .NET framework, continues to advance the envelope and the latest release, 2.4 illustrates this clearly.
The Mono 2.4 release focuses mainly on increasing performance and stability of the Mono platform. This release is also the basis for Novell's commercial support for Mono via the SUSE Linux Enterprise Mono Extension (http://www.novell.com/products/mono/). By providing this support option for ISV and corporate developers, Novell is setting the groundwork for enterprise level Mono deployments and adoption. This is a big win for developers, giving them access to a wealth of resources for creating applications on the SUSE Linux Enterprise platform.
MonoDevelop 2.0
The release of MonoDevelop 2.0 provides Linux developers access to a feature rich IDE for creating both desktop and ASP.NET applications in C# (or other .NET langauges) for deployment on Linux. You can also check-out preview releases of MonoDevelop for Windows (http://monodevelop.com/Download/Windows_Preview) and Mac OSX (http://monodevelop.com/Download/Mac_Preview).
Mono Tools for Visual Studio Preview
