To load a program during a computer or operating system startup process without any user intervention.Generally, this is done by adding a command to a startup file such as config.sys, startup.ncf, or autoexec.bat. Sometimes it is done simply by setting certain parameters in a program; for example, if a program that otherwise would load automatically required a password, setting the password would allow the program to load without user intervention.
