One day, we get a helpdesk ticket from a user. It went something like this:

"I ran out of space on my H drive, so I deleted all the files to clean it up and now all my data is gone. What do I do? Can I get my data restored?"

Fortunately we perform nightly backups, however, we all thought it was humorous that they knew they ran out of space and then deleted everything expecting that to solve the problem.

Disclaimer: As with everything else at Cool Solutions, this content is definitely not supported by Novell (so don't even think of calling Support if you try something and it blows up).

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
