Q. I'm thinking about virtualizing a physical server that is operated by Windows 2000 with Windows 2008 HYPER-V. I'd like to extend and reduce each Windows 2000 C and D logical drive when I virtualize them. Please tell me if this is possible or not, and tell me the steps to do this virtualization.
A. For this scenario you will have to perform a P2P into an empty (no OS) Hyper-V virtual machine.
The P2P process is outlined here:

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
