Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

"We have a user who recently got married. I changed the lastname to reflect the new lastname in ConsoleOne. All is well when she is in online mode. In Caching mode, the home folder appears with the "user old-lastname home" beside it.

I've tried deleting the caching mailbox and recreating it, but nothing gets rid of the old name. Where is it hiding, and how can I nuke it?"

And here is the response from Alberto de la Torre ...

Solution

This is NOT kept in the registry under the HKCU/Software/Novell/Groupwise key, and this information is NOT in the user database. It is in:

Accounts > Account Options > General Options > Display Name

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
