Some new phone models (like E75) from Nokia include an in-built Intellisync client, so it is not possible to install the GMS Intellisync client on these phones.

Workaround:

Log into GMS web interface as the user, select the option update software under settings and send the Symbian client install to your phone number as SMS.

You can also send this Install SMS from admin interface.

A SMS is received on your new Nokia with in-built Intellisync client, it will automatically configure the Intellisync client to work with your Groupwise Mobile Server.

Tested with Nokia E75 running GMS 3.01 on Linux.

Tested features with success:

  • Compose mail
  • Inbox sync
  • Calendar sync
  • Directory search

Tested and confirmed

Tested and confirmed working also with GMS 3.x running on Windows platform.

Somebody might want to test if there is anymore the possibility to sync contacts too? Embedded "Nokia messaging client" does not have any configuration options to sync contacts, but Nokia E75 address book entries has a new option for remote server sync.

I have tested the E75 phone, and everything works fine, Adressbooks as well as Global Adressbook.

I only have one problem, when sending mails from E75 it KEEPS sending to my self also..

How can i disable the client to send to my self everytime? (it feels like its trying to be a mix of pop3 and GW settings)..

I don't have the same

I don't have the same problem that you got when sending mail, so I think you have something "unique" setup in your environment.

Problem with sent mails

Submitted by novadamus on 28 July 2009 - 7:28am.

I have same problem with sent mails using Nokia E75 (firmware 110.48.125) and GMS 3 on Linux. They are synchronized to the inbox on GMS server and then return to the E75 as new mail item.

Have anyone solution for this?

Thanks for any advice.

I think you need version 3

I think you need version 3 of GMS for these new phones. But you could try the SMS option on v. 2 and see if it works.. Never tried it before we upgraded to v. 3 so I really can't say.

Just tried this with GMS204,

Just tried this with GMS204, is gets stuck when trying to connect to the server..

Another note, I called Nokia Customer Center because the Intellisync option is not shown in the email account menu although it is mentioned in the userguide and help files. Customer Center said they received a bulletin which states that Intellisync is not supported on E75 at all. weird.
