Solving a Slow Performance Situation with iManager 2.6

Problem

After upgrading iManager to version 2.6, the performance may dramatically decrease.

iManager v2.6 has a new feature to query the Novell download site for updates plugins, which makes keeping your iManager up-to-date pretty easy. However, if your server does not have a connection to the Internet, the machine may spend a lot of cycles trying to locate the Novell site.

Solution

To switch off this feature,

1. Go to iManager Configuration.

2. Select iManager Server > Configure iManager.

3. Click the Plug-in Download tab and make sure the "Query" checkbox is unchecked.

4. Click Save.
