Settings Details and/or Configuration Comments:
Apache JMeter is open source software, a 100% pure Java desktop application designed to load test functional behavior and measure performance. It was originally designed for testing Web Applications but has since expanded to other test functions. I use it for ZCM LDAP performance troubleshooting. The code can be found here: http://jakarta.apache.org/site/downloads/downloads_jmeter.cgi Detailed instructions can be found here: http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/index.html 1. Download the Jakarta-Jmeter-2.4.zip file. 2. Do a quick snapshot, then extract the zip file to the location of your choice. 3. Do a Capture and Diff. 4. Now clean up any extraneous info in the virtual registry and file system. 5. Go to the "Multiple" section and pick out "Jmeter.bat" as the executable you want to use. ***Note***At this point, you can build the application if you have Java on your host OS, or you can embed Java into the Jmeter virtual app. You can also just point Jmeter to a location where a Java component is located or dump your Java component (.SVM) into the same directory as your Jmeter virtual app. I've included a .XAPPL file with Java embedded into the app. You can also profile the app inside the ZAV Console and stream it. 6. Build the app! Enjoy!
