I'm happy to be able to say that the next course in the IDM 4 curriculum is now available. The course I'm referring to is Novell Identity Manager 4 Advanced Edition: Customization and Roles (Course 3110). I mentioned about a month ago that this course would be coming out soon. It became available a week ago, so I'm a little behind.
Course 3110 is the culmination of a huge effort to provide training that will help a Novell Identity Manager administrator manage and maintain an IDM 4 implementation. Our main goal with this curriculum was to make it possible for the administrator to keep IDM 4 running smoothly in their enterprise, after the consultants leave. With IDM it's typical for consultants to come in and do the design, the implementation and the initial roll out, then move on to the next engagement.
This leaves the administrator with the responsibility of maintaining that implementation. As their enterprise makes changes, that often means that the administrator needs to make some fairly sophisticated adjustments in IDM. We did a lot of research to find out what the tasks are that most administrators would have to do in this scenario. So that is the basis for Course 3110.
The information found here http://www.novell.com/training/courseware/ts_proj_... will give you a good overview and an outline of what is covered in each section of Course 3110.
Please note that topics covered in Course 3109 are considered pre-requisite knowledge for Course 3110. Also keep in mind that these two courses together are the basis for the new Certified Novell Identity Manager Administrator certification. I will post a blog on this new certification next week.
