Operations Center 5.0 Documentation now online

Over the years we have received several ideas from customers on how to improve the product and support. One thing mentioned by several customers is easier access to the Operations Center documentation. While you are able to get to the documentation directly from your Operations Center server, sometimes customers and partners would like to use a link on the web for the most recent versions of the documentation.

If you would like to access the Operations Center 5.0 documentation, the most recent version is based on Patch Bundle 1 (PB1) and can be accessed by using THIS LINK

I'm very interested in the enhancements and capabilities of the performance portlet with PB1. The link you provide fails for me and comes back as Forbidden. Enjoy your blog posts on NOC related stuff. Can you blog about the new capabilities of the perfomance portlet and how one can use the navigator portlet to say drive multiple patrol metrics in the performance portlet. I'm interested in the regex part you mentioned as well. Please continue to blog about NOC and the Dashboard capabilites as this is very helpful. If you have another link that works for the online doc please provide that as well.

Thanks for the blog request, I appreciate getting ideas. I'll have to think about that one and figure out a way to do it. The concept is pretty straight forward, you add the perf portlet to a page, select an element that has perf data as a starting point, then use wild cards or multi-select the metrics to chart. Keep in mind it is perl expression, so

Metric names
1) CPU on server1.netiq.com
2) CPU Utilization
3) server1.netiq.com CPU Utilization

Options:
1) .*CPU.* would chart all of them
2) CPU.* would chart 1 & 2

Then when you drive, it should retain the last metric charting options you specified. You can also allow the end users to change the metric charting on the fly.
