Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

"It sounds contrary to the function of an e-mail server, but here is my problem. I need certain users to be able to access the Internet and receive e-mails like usual. However, these users should not be able to send any messages to anyone (local users, or the internet). I found TID's on how to block sending thru the GWIA, but not to local users."

And here's the response from Tommy Mikkelsen ...

Solution

This works for me ...

1. In the Client Options in ConsoleOne, set the views for that user to "HTML only."

2. Lock the setting.

3. Set the maximum send size to 1 KB.

That should do it.

It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
