Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

"I've sent out instructions to our users on how to set the address book to display the contact lists in a last name first format (the default was first name, first). I also gave them instructions for disabling the auto-complete.

But is there any way to make a system-wide change to the address book display settings that filters down to each client, without user intervention?"

And here's the response from Tommy Mikkelsen ...

Solution

Edit and push out the following registry keys to your users:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Novell\GroupWise\Address Book - User Interface\Display Name Format

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Novell\GroupWise\Address Book - User Interface\Search Books\NCC Searching Enabled
