Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

"We have several domain names for several companies, for the same users. I know I can change the default domain in the Console One user properties. This works, but not when a user needs to change from domain to domain on a per-message basis. Is there a way to allow a user to change from domain to domain on a per-message basis? This would be a great help, because nowadays people are hearing many hats."

And here's the response from GroupWise expert Danita Zanre ...

Solution

You can do it with a workaround. If you have not enabled POP3 accounts you have to do that first in ConsoleOne (Client Options). You can do this for the entire PO, or only some users if you wish. Once that is enabled, there will be an "Accounts" menu.

1. Create a "dummy" POP3 account - make the "incoming" address and password wrong so it doesn't try to download the mail.

2. For the sending server, put in your GWIA and the authentication credentials. You can create one of these for each address the user needs.

Then the "From" line in the message will have a dropdown that you can use to choose which identity to send from.
