Importing Overlay Configurations in Designer
Problem
A Forum reader recently asked:
"In iManager, there's an installable driver to add the policies for Password Sync v2 to an existing driver. I don't see this in the Pallette for Designer. Should it be in Designer? Or is there some reason it's only available in iManager?
Is it safe to import it on to an existing driver in Designer if I grab it out of the file system?"
And here is the response from Brady Rogers ...
Solution
To import the overlay configs in Designer,
1. Right-click the DRIVER SET and selecting "Import from File...".
2. Browse for an overlay config file. Designer ships with some overlay configs in the following directory by default:
../designer/eclipse/plugins/com.novell.designer.idm_2.0.0.[buildid]/defs/dri ver_configs/overlay_configs
3. Click OK, and you will be prompted to choose an existing driver to update.
Disclaimer: As with everything else at Cool Solutions, this content is definitely not supported by Novell (so don't even think of calling Support if you try something and it blows up).
