This role is located in Scarborough.

Our Client is looking for an experienced Novell and Windows Administrator who will be responsible for all aspects of Administration, both hardware and software within a 24x7x365 data centre. The Administrator will work independently and as part of a team using his/her skills to solve customers' technical issues in various Windows and Novell environments. The Administrator will also be responsible for providing after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation. Overtime will be required from time to time, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

-Must have 3+ years of experience as a Novell and Windows System Administrator

-ZENworks 3.2

-In-depth knowledge of Windows Operating System, Novell NetWare (5.1)and other Novell Products

-Knowledge of VB scripting is an asset

-Experience in Root Cause analysis and Problem Determination processes

-Experience with Disaster Recovery related processes

-Working knowledge on network, systems and application monitoring

-Knowledge of basic Networking and Troubleshooting

-Knowledge of Remote Server Management

-Knowledge of any of the following is a definite asset: IIS, SQL, Exchange, Oracle, WebSphere, WebLogic, LDAP, Apache

-Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills

-Ability to effectively function as a team player in addition to juggling multiple responsibilities with competing priorities

-Must be proactive, possess project implementation skills

-Must be adept at managing multiple concurrent requests

-Novell CNA/CNE certifications preferred
