After selling the computer that we had been using to learn
how to migrate from Netware to OES, I finally received all
the parts to build a new computer last Friday. After popping
in the hard drive from our previous computer, pushing the 'On'
button and making some adjustments for new drivers, I was good
to go.

As time marches on, we continue to make progress on our
Migration from Netware to Open Enterprise Server training.

This month we will be getting to the fun part where we set
up the NSS volume(s) on the Suse Linux server in prep for the
actual migration.

What a beautiful Summer, eh? While those that can still
afford a vacation are taking advantage of this glorious
weather, you and I can titillate our brain cells as we
continue our quest to understand the intricacies of an
OES migration.

Yes folks... we're starting to get into the meat of
this OES migration. Can't you just feel the energy
building? This is where it begins to get fun. Don't
miss this next exciting installment!

If you weren't at our last meeting, it turned out that
we came up short one installation CD. It was highly
annoying, but the food was great and we got caught up
on technical matters.

Last month we installed XP, VMware, the Netware image and were about to install SUSE. I did the SUSE installation at home to save time. So Tuesday, we are going to roll up our sleeves and dig right into managing the servers.

At Tuesday's meeting, in preparation for Jack's training
on migrating from Novell's Open Enterprise Server to
Suse Enterprise Server, we will be installing the pre-
requisite software, including VMware, Novell Open
Enterprise Server and Suse Enterprise Server.
