Problem
A Forum reader recently asked:
"Does GroupWise or a third party give the ability to include holidays in Calendars?"
And here are the responses from Tommy Mikkelsen and Jenny Waley ...

I make a rule in each users mailbox when I create them called calendar. On that rule I tell it to automatically accept all appointments as free time from the user admin. We really do not use the admin GroupWise account for
anything, but you could have it be any user.
Then, I go through all the firm holidays each year and make an appointment for each holiday needed and invite "everyone". Works like a charm. I also use this for meeting that are firm-wide, etc.
Disclaimer: As with everything else at Cool Solutions, this content is definitely not supported by Novell (so don't even think of calling Support if you try something and it blows up).
It was contributed by a community member and is published "as is." It seems to have worked for at least one person, and might work for you. But please be sure to test, test, test before you do anything drastic with it.
