Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

"Does anyone know of a way (either within GroupWise or not) to print/save your e-mails to a file that includes a date/time stamp? We use PDF printing software called eDoc. It automatically generates the file name as the subject line, but it does not include the date/time, and I would like to have the date/time included."

And here's the response from Uwe Buckesfeld ...

Solution

Try this:

1. Don't open the mail, but view it instead.

2. Inside the viewer window, right-click and select "Print (Preview) options.

3. The Job Name is filled with "%F", so replace it with, or add, "%D".

When I do this, I get just the year, as though day and month have been cut off,
" 2008) "
Any ideas why? I'm running GW7.0.2HP I tried printing to a couple different HP printers and a PDF writer and all did the same.

Also, where can I find other variable codes such as %D?
