Using Remote Console with SLED 10

(View Disclaimer)

PROBLEM:

There is no remote console build into ConsoleOne for Linux

SOLUTION:

RconJ can be added by extracting it from \nw65sp5\SYS\SYSZIP\rcon.zip

EXAMPLE:

If you have a copy NetWare 6.5 SP5 it contains the zip file:
\nw65sp5\SYS\SYSZIP\rcon.zip

Extract this file into /usr/consoleone.

It will complain about overwrites this is ok

When done launch ConsoleOne and look at a NetWare server object. It should now include the remote console, both secure and un-secure.

ENVIRONMENT:

When ConsoleOne 136e is installed on SLED 10 (or NLD)it doesn't include the Remote console utility as an option in the attributes menu of a server object.
