Changing the Desktop Background in SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10
One of the first things most users do when they get a new desktop is customize the background. SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 comes with several pre-loaded pictures users can use, or they can use one of their own. Here's how to change that background to show exactly what you want to see everyday.
To change the desktop background:
- Right-click the current desktop background.
- Select Change Desktop Background.
- Choose a file in the Preferences dialog. The background will dynamically change with each file you choose.
- Select the style for the way you want to display the file. Select among Tiled, Scaled, Fill Screen, or Centerd.
- Choose No Wallpaper to use a color with a gradient as your desktop background.
- To use your own file as wallpaper, click the Add Wallpaper button and browse to the file you wish to use.
- Click Close to set the wallpaper file you have chosen.
