Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols has written a story about how SUSE Linux is technically superior in many ways to Vista. He goes through memory and processor requirements. He even notices at one point that SUSE Linux 10.1 has support for more hardware than Vista does.
Excerpt:
"Windows will still be the operating system on the most desktops in 2007, of course. But, I think it's quite possible that more users will buy, download, and install SUSE than those who will buy and install Vista."
